Note on Ink Level Detection on This Product

These specific cartridges do not auto-reset after you refill them. They function like a normal cartridge: your printer will detect ink levels until they run out of ink the first time.

To continue to use after the first refill, you can remember to visually check that the cartridges have ink before printing. To continue printing after getting the low ink warning, you will just need to follow the printer’s easy on screen instructions to temporarily turn off ink monitoring for these cartridges. Another option is to get a “chip resetter” device.

Instructions: How to Refill Canon Pro 100 CLI-42 Ink Cartridges!

Refilling these CLI-42 cartridges is very easy. Remove the plug on top of the cartridge, then use an ink syringe to transfer from your bottle of ink into the cartridge. Once the CLI-42 cartridge is full of ink, just pop the plug back in and the cartridge is ready to use again!
